Annual ANTFA Congress held in Barcelona

ANTFA, the Spanish Coaching Association held its annual coaching congress in Barcelona.

With 27 coaches in the attendance, the congress is becoming an increasingly important event in the Spanish coaching calendar.

On this occasion, ANTFA invited coaches from Germany, Sweden, Italy and Spain. Coach Martin Tschurer from Germany shown his great knowledge with regard to coaching quarterbacks and their assignments on the football field on game days.

Coach Rodrigo Montesino, a Chilean living and coaching in Sweden, spoke about hsi work with Defensive Backs and the developing of junior players in Sweden. Coach Giorgio Longhi from Italy mastered on the Match-up Zone Pass Defense.

Coach Teo Polanco, a New Yorker living and coaching in Spain, talked about Quarters Coverages. Finally, Spanish coach Fernando Maniega talked about the Oakland Raiders International Guest Coach Program, in which he took part this year, being the first Spanish coach to attend an NFL training camp.

It was a great event and the attendees enjoyed the sessions, bringing up their knowledge of the game and contributing extending their network of coaches across Europe.
